Scorn Game Review

Scorn is an immersive first-person horror adventure game set within a grotesque world full with bizarre forms and a dark tapestry.
It’s designed around the notion of “being lost in the universe”. You’ll be alone and lost in the dreamlike world. The setting’s unsettling nature is an entire character.
Each area has its own theme (story) that includes puzzles as well as characters that play a role in creating a cohesive world. Throughout the game you will unlock new regions and acquire various skill sets such as weapons, different items as well as try to grasp the world you are presented with.
GAMEPLAY FEATURES
Cohesive “lived within” world. Scorn is set in the open space of several interconnected regions. Each area is an intricate with a structure that has multiple spaces and pathways. Everything is done in-game and there are no cut-scenes that hinder you from experiencing the brutal realities of the live, breathing world you’re playing. Pay attention – the game will not show any sympathy for you in the event that something gets missed during your trip through the dark. All things have a meaning and purpose – you just need figure out what it is.
Full body awareness: Players can feel more immersed in the game when they’re aware of the character’s movements and body. The interaction with the environment is real-time – objects can be grasped by your hands (instead of just floating on the air) Instruments, machines and other devices are controlled by gripping control buttons, etc.
Inventory and management of ammo is specified and limited. It’s an important factor as it keeps the player in an even greater state of consciousness throughout the game. A player must consider when they should engage in combat, and when to take cover, and what their actions have on the surrounding. There will be a variety of styles required to progress.
Scorn Part 1 and 2. Does the game have to be split into different parts?
We’re planning to make it available in two parts. The first one will be released in 2018.
The two games represent all that will ever be done. It will not be DLC and expansions. There will be no sequels. Ever.
